Well Michael and I had a date night and we went to Lucilles, Let me say SCRUMPTIOUS!! We have been saving a giftcard that was given to use since Christmas, I know crazy right, but so worth the wait. I mad reservations about 4 days in advance and we walked in and sat down almost right away, not bad for a friday night at 7. I was happy, We ate like Kings.  Here are some photos from it. :D

 On our way to dinner

Home Work, is all we ever do around here!!

Ok so by the title of the post, you can already tell that this is not going to be a happy one, kidding. But I just thought that I could post about our homework (So interesting right!?) well, Mike is constantly doing hw that's what happens when you decide to try and kill yourself via school... Not the way I'd like to go, but anyway, my husband is always doing hw. And he's always helping me with mine. (Isn't he wonderful) The photo, is of my actual hw... its due on Tuesday, but I still haven't done a paper (front/back), thats all for one class. And as it turns out I think all my professors got together decided to make everything due on tues. For instance, I have a Lab due (the photo) HW questions, and a 5 page history paper all  due all on Tues. Not to mention that I have a science exam that is when... ON TUESDAY.  So I will be very busy this weekend. Not doing anything fun, just homework. Wish me luck!!

Baby Madness!!

Well Michael and I have been very busy with preparation for Finley... Only 6 weeks left on Sunday. Wow, seems like time is slowing down. But we are staying busy with school and trying to stay on top of all that. I have a doctors appt tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. Maybe we'll have more stories to tell you of our crazy doctor! HA! Well, we've been busy getting Finley's room ready and making it cutesy. But it is pretty bare because we don't have much until the baby shower, which is in 3 weeks and I CANNOT wait. I am very excited. But I've got some photos of her room and our theme. which is TURTLES! yay! and a few blankets that I've made for her... Yea, I made something. :) (There's some really cute clothes that have been given to us.)
This is a hair bow board that I made with Amber, hopefully she'll have some hair :D

Our little turtle rug, (isn't it adorable.)
Walls of the room, it was originally blue. But I didn't want to repaint.
I think it looks like the sea... with the little turtle decals.
Our turtles. The one on the far right is the one we got from Mexico.
These are pictures of the the baby blanket that I cross-stitched.

This is a turtle quilt that I made as well.

Here's a close up of the cross-stitch blanket.
This blanket we bought in Mexico.
 A cute little tutu!!
 Isn't this adorable!?
And last but not least this is a cute turtle hamper.  Hope you enjoyed the photos, and we're not done! I'm sure we'll keep adding to the room. :) And don't be fooled by all the blue, we are having a little girl! hahaha :D

Fun night at the Fair...

Yesterday Mike and I went to the L.A. County Fair, with some friends of ours, (Denise and Derrick). We had a lot of fun, we went after school and were able to get in for free because Denise's mom found us some used books. Sweet right!? well we also saw the demolition derby, it was my first time and I loved it. (That was also free.) Good to know some friends who know so many secrets right! KIDDING! :) But we walked around and went through stores and saw some pretty cool things, like the shark exhibit. But they didn't do much, they were on the bottom of the tank... they were either dead or sleeping. I have no idea. But one neat thing that Denise and I got to do was pick your pearl. We found this booth where you are guaranteed a pearl once you pay a standard fee, its yours. Well we both did it and got beautiful pink/peach colored salt water pearls. It was fun. And not to mention we have pearls! hahaha But walking around the fair made my feet kind of swell, not too bad. But just enough to be annoying, but luckily that was at the end of the night. Mike and I really enjoyed hanging out with friends and having a good date night! Here are some photos:
 Derrick as an octopus!

 Denise and I has mermaids...
I love Mikes face in this photo!! hehehe
Denise and Derrick watching the Derby
 Mike and I <3
This was the best part. The car was pushed up on the barrier like a see-saw and the tractor had to pick it up and move it. (That car did end up winning but it was pretty funny.)

Doctors Appt.

Well today after a busy day at school, I went to the doctor for our little girl. After the initial pee in a cup, blood pressure, then tell you how fat you are... Mike and I were able to talk with the doctor, he's a funny little asian man. And talks about mermaids and medieval women. He makes me laugh. But I was glad to see that I am doing very well for a prego. Time has flown. but I'm glad to see it come to an end! I want to be a momma!! :D We were able to hear her heartbeat, the doctor told us that it was a good strong heartbeat. :) Of course silly doctor, she's a McGowen. Then he talked about registering at the hospital, Just filling out some paperwork. OH!! I almost forgot, I had to take a blood test that I had to fast the night before and drink this flat, orange soda, mixed with kool-aid tasting drink, then get poked again. but the doctor said that I do NOT have Gestational Diabetes, Thanks, I was a very grumpy pregnant lady without my food. But anywho.. the doctors appointment went well and its nice to be told that our little girl is doing wonderful. :) Our next appt is in 2 weeks. Now its off to study for tests 2morrow, poor Michael has a test everyday this week, isn't that horrible!! but he's studying, so I know he'll do well. And hey, I updated the blog, and it hasn't been 8 months, aren't you proud!? I am. :D

Blogging just ain't my thing!

I've been pretty bad at blogging, I'm sorry. Well might as well update you on our lives :)

Mike and I are expecting a little girl on November 27th 2011, YAY!! We're are very excited and I'm happy to be at the end of my pregnancy, I'm sorry but there's only so much that a girl can take! But I do have to say that it is the most amazing gift and experience of my life. Just to feel her move and kick is wonderful, Mike and I say that she already has her own personality, and we are so excited to meet her. I'm planning on trying to do it natural, again planning on it, its not set in stone. I think that it would be very rewarding. But we'll see.
One of my maternity photos, I love how they came out. And yea I know I'm HUGE :)
But that's okay.
As of right now, Mike and I are currently in school. At Mt. SAC. Mike is taking 19 units (2 lab classes.) He's crazy. I am taking only 14 not to bad. I'm actually taking a history class that I love, Mike calls me a nerd for having such love for history but whatever.
:)
My mom is getting everything ready for the baby shower and Mike and I plan on registering this week sometime. Again, that's the plan hehehe.

Mexico!!!

Well here are some photo's of Mexico and some of the things that we did. It was really a wonderful experience and I'm really glad we were able to go and see the people and some really cool parts of Mexico. We plan on going back soon. I was able to pick up alot of Spanish and understand people for the most part. And now when people talk to me in Spanish sometimes I am able to understand them, hopefully I can become fluent and speak Spanish one day.

I'm drinking something called Jamaica Water. Its made from a flower. Really good!!
We're at a park in Colima, the rooster and the duck have been there for a long time. This park is also has the slippery rock, and if you slide down it you'll come back to Colima, and trust me we did!!

We made homemade tortillas, I am using a 100 year old tortilla maker. We had a lot of fun, and are excited to test it out. Because we bought a tortilla maker while we were there!

We took this at the turtle rescue place. They rescue turtles and set them free. This one thought the camera was food.

The great thing about being in Mexico, is that they don't care if you touch stuff. I actually held a baby turtle. It was way cool. The turtles didn't mind us touching them. We really enjoyed this.

This is at the same place as with the turtles, but this is with the swamp part. The water is red because of the tree roots. The roots are red, so the water turns red. I really thought it was beautiful. And there are also white tree roots. This is a crocodile infested place. We saw only two, but one was 5 meters long!!

This is not man made. When they were building the place, they came across this, so now they just maintain it. There was so much wildlife in the tree growth.

Michael and Jesus. One of Michael's converts.

The Bishop also taught us how to make Salsa. And Guacamole. I've been able to make the Guacamole, haven't tried the Salsa on our own yet.

We got to see the Volcano's.  There's smoke coming off the volcano, not a cloud. The Volcano is active and actually spurts magma sometimes!

Us and Alejandro and his wife, Michael taught them, they own a taco stand. The BEST BEST taco's in the world.

The Bishop found out that I am a History Major, and decided to take us to a museum close by, I totally loved it, it had a lot of art work from the time period of the Book of Mormon. And being a History Major with a focus on Meso-America I was in heaven. Oh, you also weren't aloud to take pictures, hehehe.

The Temple in Guadalajara, it was so cute, reminded me a lot of Redlands. We weren't able to attend a session but we spent about a half and hour to forty-five minutes on the grounds. It was really nice.

Hope you enjoyed the photos!!!
Love You All!!
